Manchester City hosts Monaco at “Etihad Stadium” in a game from Champions league.
Monaco won their group and they probably thought they should have gotten a more favorable draw but they will have to travel to England for the first game of the tie. They couldn’t win their last game in the French League One against Bastia but they are still on top of the standings, 3 points ahead of OGC Nice. Falcao returned to his usual self, scoring 16 goals in 20 games this season, which is good for fourth in League One. Germain is helping him by scoring 8 goals in 24 games, along with 2 assists, making them the most explosive offensive duo in France.
Manchester City are not performing that well in the Premier League but despite their struggles, they are second 8 points behind Chelsea. Gabriel Jesus injured himself against Bournemouth which means Sergio Aguero will take his place against Monaco. He scored 12 goals in 19 games this season while Sterling has helped him with 6 goals. Kevin De Bruyne has made 8 assists so far and he is one of the key players in this side. Whenever he plays well, the team plays well. Man City’s problems are at the back where they can’t use their best defenders due to injuries and Bravo is very inconsistent, so I expect Caballero to start against Monaco.
